I find that so much remains to be done to the
house, that the expense's somewhat more than I thought; and since you once spoke of desiring to possess [[strikethrough]]a[[/strikethrough]] fine
specimens of painting by Kano Hogai, and by Gaho, I am thinking to unpack and send you some, which I should like to sell. I have also a very fine old Chinese Sung painting, which I have not hitherto thought to part with.

Am I presuming too much in supposing that you might care to see these? If not, I can send them to you soon -

Do let us know how your health is, and whether you are mastering the sleeplessness -

With warm regard
Yours most truly
