John R. Vanderlip, Esq.,
President, The Minneapolis Institute of Arts,
Minneapolis, Minn.

My dear Mr. Vanderlip: -

May I introduce to you, through this letter, my friend Miss Grace D. Guest, of Detroit, Michigan.
Miss Guest has long been a student of the fine arts, and has been the art teacher, for some years, at Miss Liggett's school in Detroit.
During the past several years, Miss Guest has spent much time studying the Chinese department of my collection, and she is now vey anxious to gain a better understanding of the finest things in the leading art museums of the country.
During her visit in Minneapolis, she would like especially to be given the opportunity of studying everything in the Oriental department in your museum, and to gain a further knowledge of the scope of the work which you are doing at Minneapolis. Any and all courtesies which you and your associates extend to Miss Guest, will be most appreciated by both Miss Guest and myself, and I am sure that you will find her an able sympathetic student of beanty.

Trusting that you enjoying the best of health, and with every good wish, believe me,

Very sincerely yours,
