only the russets and brown mingled with the evergreens. The roadside and forest, the stream and the sky, have each a glory of their own, and as we have seen them thus far, they stand for the perfect ripeness of life - and tell us that life is worth living. The sombre effects of November we look for later. We expect to end our trip so that I can reach Detroit about Nov 1st.
