Many thanks for attending to the Dewing pictures, and the jars and tera cottas, and Anna's piano and the hundred and one minor things in my interest unmentioned by which I know has your care.  Surely Anna has a fine piano but the cost is less than I thought.

Sorry the chef and laundress could not get on together.  She is an excellent servant but hard to manage, however, I have perfect confidence in the chef's doing, as a rule, the very best thing, and that is as much as any of us can expect to accomplish. If an opportunity offers will you kindly say to him that I am quite satisfied with his action.  I regret that I could not have attended Louise's parties.  They were doubtless successful in every way.  How dainty and charming the programmes - and how nice a compliment of dear old Church.  I think of him very often and fancy [[/strikethrough]]
