Tom goes to Germany to pursue certain studies at one of the Universities or possibly under some specialist outside of the Universities.

After leaving here mail and telegrams if any, will have to take some considerable chance of delay, as I dont [[don't]] see how I can make up an itinerary in advance- I expect to reach Paris however, not later than July 25th. Mail and telegrams sent care of Brown, Shipley & Co London will in time reach me.
