Well, I am very sorry for Will. He will be bitterly disappointed, fearfully so, I fear. Ae made heaps of mistolles and did queen things, still, I wish he had won out, rather than Smith. The last two days have been very disagreeable, cold and stormy. We came down from Cairo here by daylight yesterday and we saw a tough sand storm passing through that part of the desert which we had to cross.

Freddie sailed last night for Italy and I go on to Ceylon today.

The more thought I give to visiting China & Japan the more attractive it seems, and I have practically made up my mind to stop off for a little while in each country on my way home.
