Dear Mr. Kelekian:-

Many thanks for your letter of December 7th. I am glad to know that the John Herron Art Institute of Indianapolis, desires to exhibit your collection of Chinese pottery, and I feel sure that many other similar requests will reach you asking the same privilege -- a number of institutions have been laboring with me to get my consent to exhibit at St. Louis, Memphis and other places, the Chinese paintings, jade and sculpture, but I have had to refuse all requests as I cannot give personal attention to the arrangement and other details.

I am glad to report that the stone trinity was perfectly packed by Budworth and reached here in good condition. I think you were wise to show your other sculpture to Mr. Platt and Mr. Manship -- both of these gentlemen are good friends of mine and they are the right kind of art appreciators to show your finest things.

With kindest messages, I remain,

Sincerely yours,
