The "Gamewell Fire Alarm Connection" has been made at the house, and Stephen reports everything all right there.

Mr. Gault is working on the photographs, and says he will be able to finish all of them by the middle of this month, therefore, quite early shipment of Mons. Migeon's photographs can be made.

Miss. Browne has found a satisfactory position with Mr. Phelps of the Hylo Co. She left us on Thursday, last.

I was pleased to know from your cablegram to Col. Hecker, that you arrived all well in Naples, and I presume you are now making preparations for your departure for Cairo.

This is the first really cold day we have thus far had, but as yet no snow has fallen.
