Dear Madam:-
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 11th inst., addressed to Mr. Charles L. Freer, and I regret that owing to Mr. Freer's absence, he is unable to reply to you promptly. 
Mr. Freer is on a trip to the Orient, and does not expect to return before May or June, next. I shall be writing him to-day at Ceylon, and will enclose your letter therewith.
