Your letter of the 8th inst., addressed to Mr. Charles L Freer, was opened by me in Mr. Freer's absence.

Mr. Freer is traveling about in the Orient, having sailed from New York on November 15th, last, and does not expect to return home before June, [[strikethrough]] k [[/strikethrough]] next. 

I shall be writing him in a few days, and will take pleasure in enclosing therewith, your letter.
