Dear Sir;-

I have your favor of the 13th instant and beg to advise you that the pictures belonging to Mr. Freer and Colonel Hecker sent you sometime ago for your exhibition, together with the two pastels by Mr. Tryon which Mr. Freer bought just before sailing, were delivered to his residence to-day. I am just advised by Mr. Freer's man that he has unpacked them and found that they stood the journey well.

In a letter I wrote Mr. Freer to-day, I told him how much they were appreciated by you.

Very truly yours,
J M Kennedy
