Mr. Hayashi wishes me to acknowledge received your favour of 5th, August, and we are very glad to hear that you have got home safely in good health after long voyage, and he has to thank you for sending a cheque for the settlement of the balance on the Bronze Vase, for which you will find the receipt with this. He regrects that he has kept you so long to weight for the arrival of the Bronze Vase, but he beleaves now it has arrived safely before this reaches to your hand, as Mr. Matsuki has took it with him on board S/S "Minesota." saild Kobe Ioth, August and he hopes it will gives you quite satisfaction. Please do not hesitate to write me if you want any thing to do in Japan, I shall be great pleasure to be done for you any thing, could be suit to my power.
