Shepheard's Hotel Jan 20 1907
Dear Mr. Kennedy,
Onnik Kalebdjian of Kalebdjian Bros of 32, Rue Le Peletier Paris with whom I have done business, brought me three pieces of Racca pottery on approval this morning. I examined them carefully but refused to take the risk and trouble of shipment from here or to pass them through the American Customs. I did, however, agree to pay, or have you in my absence, pay four hundred pounds for the three pieces if delivered to you at Detroit free of Customs duties and all other charges
