In the months of January, February and March beside the foregoing 675 pieces of needed articles of wearing apparel were distributed to indigent Freed people, greatly adding to their health comfort and appearance, enabling many to get good and satisfactory employment.

About the 17th March I introduced a Carpet loom, and have about 25 yds of Carpeting ready for the market which doubtless will find ready sale. The School has given employment to the poor and needy who are provided with provisions lodgings &c, until places can be procured that will improve their condition, and men, women and children have been received in this school and provided with comfortable homes, until suitable homes could be found for them

Some articles of clothing have been sold, to those whose circumstances enabled them to purchase amounting to $24.37 $6.17 of which amount has been expended in the purchase of trimmings and materials for making and altering garments

In March I received from the NY Freedman's Association 6 Barrels and three cases of Clothing &c amongst it 870 yds of Kersey excellently adapted to the wants of the Freedpeople, and which will be converted into desirable garments as early as practicable.
