My dear Mr. Graham:-
Since writing you yesterday, I have examined some of Mr. Whistler's letters, and in one written to his mother from Venice, I find, along with many other interesting paragraphs, this one concerning yourself, and I cannot refrain from copying it for your own eyes, before sending the letter to Miss Birnie-Philip. The paragraph is as follows:

"My kind friend Mr. Graham whom you remember my writing to you about, has been away some weeks in Rome - returning only the other day. I was glad to see him for he had been most courteous and persistent in his good services to me. He brought Mr. Bronson with him a couple of mornings ago, and very jolly was our meeting - for I always liked him - he is most original and amusing. I have dined at the Bronson's since, and they are most amiable and nice".

Trusting the above will bring you pleasant memories of the meeting mentioned by Mr. Whistler, I remain,
Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
