My dear Sir:- Your letter of the 22nd instant, is received and fully noted. I am glad that you have arranged for an Exhibition of the etched work of Mr. Whistler, and I judge from the list of etchings already offered, you will have a fairly representative exhibit. I should like to add a few unusual specimens from my collection, but unfortunately, I have not the time at present necessary to mount and look after their shipment. I am glad, however, to say that it is convenient for me to loan you one of Whistler's original etched coppers. I shall take pleasure in forwarding the same to you, together with title, on Monday, next.
