33 Ferry Avenue,
Detroit, Mich., October 29, 1907.

Dear Mr. Kita:-

Your kind letter of August 31st, together with the photograph of the Jizo came during my recent visit in Europe, and the present id the first opportunity I have had to acknowledge your goodness.

The Jizo is doubtless a fine specimen, but I could not consider the purchase of so important an object without giving it personal inspection. When I am next in Japan if the figure is then still on sale, I shall be glad to see it.

While in Paris I had the pleasure of meeting several of your friends, including Messrs. Migeon, Koechlin, Odin, and Issac. We had several charming visits together and Mr. Odin showed us his collection of paintings. My stay in Paris was for four days only; I wish it might have been four months instead.

Yours very sincerely,

Mr. T. Kita,
San Jyokobashi,
Kioto, Japan.
