My Dear Sir:-

I have pleasure in acknowledging receipt of your kind letter of October 29th, also the printers' proofs of the reports of the Institute and the affiliated Schools. Accept, please, my best thanks for your courtesy.

I resigned the presidency of the Detroit Society some ten months ago, but I will transfer your letter and the proofs to the local secretary.

Believe me,
