Henry B. Joy, Esq.,
President, Packard Motor Car Co.,
Detroit, Michigan.

My dear Mr. Joy:-
Knowing the interest you have in all the details of your large business , I take the liberty of calling your attention to a first-class mechanic who seeks employment in your Electric Vehicle Plant at Hartford, Conn. William R. Thompson of 127 Putnam St., Hartford, is the person in question. He has had eight years experience in Motor Vehicle work, having had temporary charge of the Forge Department of the Pope Manufacturing Company. He is known to be a thorough workman, honest, sober and industrious. He and I attended the same school in boyhood. He comes from an excellent family and I have no doubt you will find him a valuable employee, provided you need a man of his attainments.
