fancy the letter from which the excerpt is from, was written before she had received my letter suggesting the name of Mr. North as Selling Agent.

Either you or I are quite sure to have word from her ere long. In the meantime, if it will not trouble you too much, I hope you will send her the proof sheets above referred to.

With kind regards, I remain,

Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer

P.S. Will you kindly advise Miss Birnie-Philip direct concerning the question raised by her attorney:" Is it necessary to disclose the name and address of publisher as in London? Should the name of the Selling Agent be disclosed in the book?"

You know far better than I, the law and practice as respects these points and I hope you will make them clear to her. My reason for wishing the Selling Agents name inserted was to aid book sellers in placing their orders.
