# 3. Mr. Hara.

ruins of the Near East.

I hope that yourself, Mrs. Hara and your children are all well and enjoying life. This letter should reach San no Tani at about the time of the beginning of the appearance of spring-time blossoms, and in fancy I see the beautiful coloring of the many trees and shrubs of your wonderful estate. The wonderful trees which you were planting, and the charming garden you were arranging during my visit last spring will be amazingly beautiful this year, I believe. I shall frequently think of yourself and family enjoying the delights of your beautiful estate which you so kindly open to the many.

Believe me, with cordial greetings to all,

Very sincerely your friend,
Charles L. Freer
