Dear Mr. Freer, 
     I have received after having come back from a short trip to Korea and Japan, your very kind letter of March 17th and the catalogue as well. Thanks very much for your promise to let me have some photographs of your sculptures for my articles on Chinese sculptures. Unfortunately I have found in the catalogue but four numbers of sur; two Kwanyin (Wei and Tang) and two Belief tablets (Wei-Tang and Wei, No No 95-98). You certainly have some more  specimens. But it is hard for me to say which I want to have. I want to give a certain idea of the development of the sculpture art in China
