WASHINGTON BUILDING
1 BROADWAY

New York, N.Y.,
August 7th, 1913.

My Dear Mr. Freer;-

Only a line to advise you that I have had further correspondence with Mr. Witherspoon, and the DeVinne Press have now made a proposition to do the work for $7000.00, subject to a few adjustments, instead of giving us an approximate bid of $7000.00, which might have led into much more.

They also have under consideration the providing of a room in their building where all the pieces could be assembled and catalogued, which I believe would be much wiser than to attempt to catalogue the exhibit at different points. The DeVinne Press building is absolutely fire-proof, or as nearly so as can be built.

It is most important that we should have a meeting as soon as possible, and I have taken the matter up with Mr. Leslie Russell. On hearing from you I will endeavor to get the other members of the Committee together at a date that will be agreeable to yourself. Hoping you are quite well, with kind regards, I am,

Yours very truly,
Samuel T. Peters
