#33 Ferry Avenue, East, Detroit, Michigan, January 24th, 1913. Charles A. Platt, Esq., 11 East 24th Street, New York, N. Y. My dear Platt:- Your kind note of the 18th instant came duly, and I agree with you that the site originally offered with forty feet taken off of it, would make it impossible for our use, and as I am to be in New York early in February, we will discuss the matter together, after which I will talk with the Smithsonian officials about the matter. Of course, they are inclined to give us the best within their power. Your very interesting preliminary sketch came yesterday, and I am examining it with great pleasure. I shall bring it with me to New York, when I shall have ample time to discuss the project with you. Believe me, Very truly yours,
