My Dear Truman-
I am delighted with your letter of December 4th. The practice of slandering the officers of both the Army and Navy, who have in charge medical examinations, has become too common, and in asking Mr. Pratt to substantiate his statement, you are doing a splendid work.
With kindest regards, I remain,
            Very truly yours,

Honorable Truman H. Newberry,
Secretary of the Navy,
Washington, D.C.
