Mr. Vitali Magjar,
Post Box 297,
Cairo, Egypt.

Dear Mr. Madjar:

Your good letter of November 20th, would have had earlier reply, but for my absence in New York, Boston and Washington.

I note, with interest, your letter concerning a collection of Persian pottery plaques of the XI Century, which you are good enough to offer to sell to me. I have no doubt that these pieces are of rare importance. Can you not send me photographs of the same? and will you not kindly tell me how many pieces you have? and also, let me know your price for each of the pieces separately.

I cannot visit Egypt this winter, so you will see, that the only manner by which we can reach an understanding concerning the pottery, is through the aid of photographs and correspondence.

I hope that you are keeping very well, and that you are enjoying a prosperous winter.

Very truly yours,
Charles L. Freer
