President - Parke, Davis & Company,
Detroit, Michigan.

Dear Mr. Ryan:-

On my return from Minneapolis yesterday afternoon, I found your kind letter of December 21st, enclosing a copy of your recent communication to the Secretary of Agriculture, and I thank you for both.

I have read, with much interest, your communication to the Secretary, and, I feel, that you have covered the subject most intelligently, and in a spirit which must appeal to the department. In prefacing your letter with the facts outlined, you call the attention of the department to details, of which, I believe, the Secretary knew very little; and in respectfully asking for the information mentioned, you have worded your desires most admirably.
I hope that the Secretary will send on a committee of experts, and, I feel, that eventually much good will follow in the wake of this rather perplexing state of affairs.

Believe me,

Yours very sincerely,
Charles L. Freer
