Mr. S. Yamanaka,
254 Fifth Avenue,
New York City, N.Y.

Dear Mr. Yamanaka:-

Your good letter of the 24th, inst., came this morning, and I am glad to hear from you, and take pleasure in welcoming your return to America.

The news you send me, concerning the improvement in general trade, is good, and, I hope, that it will constantly improve and that your firm will get a full share of the increase.

Yes, I agree with you, that specimens of the Fine Arts, suitable for my collection, are growing very scarce in the far east; however, it will please you to know, that in Asia Minor and Egypt many fine things are being found, so my desire to collect fine things, is likely to find ample opportunity to exert itself.
