youngest Willis stated that he was innocent- stated he had been in the Confederate Services, Some of the crowd proposed to take a vote as to the hanging him, but Judge S.J. Sweed called and, God damn him hang him, hang the whole of them.  Benjamin Thompson burst a leap on one of the Willis' before he was hung. I tried to keep Wash Bourner out of it, but he swore they were rascals, but he swore to hang them, and he would be God dammed if he did not do it. They were (the Willis') all hung on one limb. Carpenter and Shelby of Burnett [[Burnet]] Co. were prominent in pulling the rope.
There was a large crowd present, but I cannot recollect their names.

The men who [[strikethrough]]sot who[[/strikethrough]] shot and killed Mr. Morris on the head of Little Danton [[Denton]] was Mr. Friday were Robt Turner, Wiley Fowler, Ged Burnam, William Burnam and John Townsend and others, he was killed in the summer of 1863 or 1864.
