Dr. Sir

Dr. H.S. Johnson S.A.C. B.R.F.. as for this Bounty having received his appointment upon my recommendation and having promised you to aid him with my advice and council professionally should he require it, I have whatched his course very closley and put myself to no little trouble to investigate different cases brot before him, and I am truly pleased to say that thus far his course has been that of an upright and impartial judge and in all matters of perplexing doubt he has taken a praisworthy and commendable course to arrive at justice and an impartial descission between the parties. He has surley exibited no vindictiveness partiallity or favouritism Has performed his whole duty so far as to say within his power and any charges to the contrary from whatever sources are malicious and false.

In the case of Harvey With vs Henry Brazier Mr Brazier complains of injustice & I have acquainted myself with the facts and circumstances testimony &c. and if any one has cause of complaint it is the Freedman to the amt of the meat for which Brazier was allowed pay, and then Mr Brazier desired at least an hundred dollar fine for attempting to take advantage of the Freedman & swindle him while imprisoned on a trumped up charge of which he was honorably acquitted.
