#33 Ferry Avenue, East,
Detroit, Michigan.
December 24th, 1909.

Tozo Takayanagi,
Care of the Mitsukoshi Dry Goods Company,
Tokio, Japan.

My dear Mr. Takayanagi:-
I am glad to report my safe arrival at home. My journey from Yokohoma to Detroit was very pleasant indeed, and I have often thought of the pleasant farewell visits paid me on board the "Mongolia" by yourself and other good Japanese friends. It was a pretty "send off", notwithstanding the bad weather.

In accordance with the promise made yourself and business manager, I am enclosing under separate cover to your address, a copy of an illustrated pamphlet showing the Fenestra Sash of which we spoke together the day I called upon you in Tokio. I think the little book will explain everything clearly to you and to your manager, but should you desire any further information on the subject, I will gladly have it sent to you.

Wishing you a Happy and prosperous New Year, I remain

Very truly yours,
Charles L. Freer

P.S. Your gift of the pretty little bronze box gives me real pleasure.
C.L.F.
