the house will be in somebodys way the better class of people all talk in favor of educating the colored people, but nobody that I have met with, is willing to give land or money to aid them,, in fact the predudice, is so high that it will be almost impossible  to get local teachers, I can rent one or two 
houses for school purposes, but rents are so very high, can't get a house worth anything for less than from, $12.00. to $15.00 Pr month in specie,, the freedpeople are very anxious to [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] get schools established and are willing to do anything they can, they are very poor and have but little to give; I would respectfully ask, that means be placed subject to order from this office, to establish schools at this place, and one at Mc Kinney,, Complaints have been numerous this month, between freedmen
and their employee's, I dispose of all most all ordinary.
cases as follows,, I summons the parties, to appear at my Office on a certain day bringing witnesses on each side, I hear the evidence and then give my judgement according to what I conceive to be right, which has given, so far, I believe entire
