| 1867. July 6. | Doc. Shaffer and Silva Shaffer (both freedmen) | Theophilus Garrard (freedman) | Accused of stealing Eighteen ($18.00) specie. Doc a boy about twelve years of age was attending on Garrards store, accused of taking the money and carrying it home to his mother, no proof being offered to substantiate the charge they were acquitted. |

| Aug. 3 | Tom Anderson (freedman)  | L. Rose (White) | Accusation - stealing a hat out of complainants store, valued at seventy five cents. proof not sufficient. Defendant discharged. |

| Septem 10 | Henry Wood (white) | Charles Mosely (freedman) | Four complaints- 1. Theft of Corn and Fodder  2. Threat to Kill.  3. Killing and stealing a cow.  4. Stealing a hog and cow. The accused was acquitted on charges 1, 2 and 3. Charge 4 has not yet been heard. This man Wood is a desperado. No doubt.  |
