Lady of Sir Tho. Haggerstone, Bt. Rachael Solomon, a Jewess, at Rotterdam, aged 110; she has left 9 children,32 grand-children, and 25 great-grand-children. Near Koningsberg, in Prussia, a woman lately died at the age of 99, who has left 13 children, 124 grand children, 114 great-grand-children, and 13 great-great-grand-children, all said to be alive.

April 13. A poor woman, who, by the dreadful explosion which happened at Chester on the 5th of November last (see Vol. XLII. p. 539), was bruised in a terrible

manner, and burnt on the back of both hands, and on the left eye-brow, being pretty well recovered of the injuries she received, on the 10th of April was delivered of two dead children, one having a blister as large as a pigeon's egg on the back of each hand, the other having a mark corresponding to the injury the mother received over the left eye. It is requested that some of our correspondents would bestow the pains to authenticate the fact, in order to determine a question concerning impressions from the mother, about which Naturalists are divided.
