"Report the disposition and feeling of the white people towards the freed people as expressed by words and actions."
     
There are those, (who I think were earnest in the cause, of the south,) who warmly assist me, with their sympathy, & influence, There are those who are open in their comments, some that do not say much, and those that talk two ways, It has been my earnest aim, to quiet prejudice.

EDUCATION.

"Report the feeling upon the subject of education; what steps have been taken to promote the same; what efforts the freed people are making in that direction and in what manner they may be assisted, &c., &c."

I have in previous Reports, Reported quite fully, on the subject of education,

I would respectifully state here that it has been brought to my notice, that [[strikethrough]] two [[/strikethrough]] two men, with shot guns, have visited, a colored meeting, or meetings, to get to shoot my head off - the reason assigned - was that I was attending, negroe meetings, I have  been present at "two"!, "one" meeting, some months ago - "To urge them to raise money to complete paying for their house.

and "one" meeting, last month (Nov) to organize a Sabbath school,
