My office hours are from 8 a.m. to 12 m and from 1 to 6 p.m.



"State the number of troops at your Post and the necessity for the same; whether or not the freed people would be secure if they were removed; in other words will the civil authorities protect them and give them justice; &c., &c."

There is a company of the 20th U.S. 
Infantry stationed at this place, numbering 45 men. To remove this company would be to turn over the freed people to the civil authorities at whose hands they cannot at present expect justice.
