The building has been advanced since sufficiently & as to possibly the expenditure of the sum promised and in that amount is disposable for repaires of the school house at Brenham it can be made ready for occupancy early in February.

If no proper teacher can be engaged, the services of some less competent person will be secured until a good teasher can be hired.

I respectfully urge the immediate action of the Sup. of Schools on this important subject - of more real value to the colored people of Washington County than all other duties confided to the S. Ct. Commissioners.
