           Bound in wood; inscription incised in cover. 
           The album contains twelve paintings on silk
           in ink and colors, of which ten are landscape
           subjects, one a hawk in a tree and one three
           children playing in a garden, by various paint- 
           ers of the Five dynasties, Sung, Yuan, and Ming     
           periods. 
           Size, 16" x 14 3/8" 
        
           Purchased from Loon Gui Sai, Peking, while on 
           trip during the Summer of 1909, as per Journal 
           Voucher No. 1 December 1909, for Hex, $250., 
           plus customs, frt., &e. =                125.00


(101) One Album of Paintings.              Chinese
        Bound in beautiful wood. 
        The album contains eight paintings on silk, in 
        colors, of which the first three are of flowers - 
        (one of which includes a bird and one includes 
        four bees), one of a melon with two mice, one of 
        a quail beneath blossoming sprays, one of a black 
        bird resting on a branch, one of two birds on a 
        bamboo limb and one of two birds resting in a tree   
        with red foliage, all painted by Cheo PĂȘ Chu of the
        Sung dynasty - whose signature appears on the last
        Picture. 
        Size, 12 1/2" x 10 1/2". 

        Purchased from Riu Gheng Chai, Peking, while on 
        trip during the Summer of 1909, for Mex. $400., 
        plus customs, frt., &c. =                   200.00
