Bound in red and blue brocade of small design, edged with wood. The album contains one painting of a landscape with river and boating party, in tints, on silk, by Li Tang of the Sung Dynasty, and four other landscapes in ink, on paper, by artists of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. Size, 20 1/2" x 16". 

Purchased from Loon Gu Sai, Peking, while on trip during the Summer of 1909, as per Journal Voucher No. 1. December 1909. For Mex. $100., plus customs, frt., &c. =  50.00

(D) One Album of Paintings.  Chinese

Bound in old brocade which has a dragon woven in the design. 
The album contains four large ideographs in ink, on paper, and eighteen paintings on paper and silk in ink and colors. The first painting is a landscape on silk, in colors and signed "Li-Chao-tow," and still another is signed "Mi Fei," one of a monkey carrying fruit on his back is signed "Li Cheng:" one of a hunter on horseback with dog is signed "Chao Meng fu." Others are signed "Mi Toen," "Li Sung-nien," Chao PO Chu," and by artists of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. This album is much worm eaten.
Size, 18" x 14".

Purchased from Pao Ming Sai, Peking, while on trip during the Summer of 1909, as per Journal Voucher No. 1, December 1909, for Mex $200., plus customs, frt. &c. = 100.00
