Relaxation Is Important To Sky Warriors After Mixing With The Enemy

Lt. Colonel B. O. Davis, Jr., describes an aerial encounter with German planes by members of the 99th Fighter Squadron which he commands. The fliers have fought from North Africa and Sicily, performing notably.


A group of listeners includes 1st Lt. William A. Campbell, Tuskegee Institute; 1st Lt. Lee Rayford, Washington, D. C., (head turned); and 2nd Lt. John W. Rogers, Chicago.


Lt. Colonel Davis, West Point graduate and son of the only Negro general in the Army, enjoys a bit of the humor growing out of the dogfight. The squadron has at least one official victory and two probables.
