125 (87) Feb. 9, 1894. Mr. Thomas Forman, Forman & Curtis, Petoskey, Mich. Dear Tom: I am just back from New York and have seen Mr. Russel concerning the loan discussed with you. He thinks under all the circumstances that perhaps the board of directors of the State Savings Bank will be willing to furnish the money you desire but is not sure until the matter can be discussed with several of the directors who are now absent. In the mean time, as named to you, you can depend upon getting the money any way either from the bank or from Hecker and Freer. If you desire $5,000.00 or more now, you may send your note as discussed, payable to the order of Hecker and Freer, and I will arrange to remit you the funds, giving the bank at its next meeting the option of taking the paper if they wish it. With personal regards, Yours very truly, C.L. Freer
