Mr. C. A. Clark,
Ass’t Treas’r, Northern Pac. R.R. Co.,
St. Paul, Minn.

Dear Sir:

Referring again to your recent favor, I regret to say that owing to the illness of our book-keeper, who has your acc’t in charge, I have not as yet been able to write Mr. Pearce as I had hoped to do. I am to-day advised that our book-keeper expects to be in shape for work in a few days, when a statement of the account will be prepared and letter sent to Mr. Pearce. In the mean time, I beg your kindly indulgence.

Yours truly,
C. L. Freer
