Gen’l M’gr, G.R. & I.R.R. Co.,
Grand Rapids, Mich.

Dear Sir:

In a letter recently received from my business partner, Mr. Frank J. Hecker, who is now traveling in Germany, he requested me to hire a furnished cottage at Mackinac for the use of his family during July and August. Yesterday I was informed that your Mackinac cottage was to rent. If I am correctly informed and you would care to lease it for the above mentioned time to Col. Hecker, will you kindly [[?]] by return mail, stating terms and what furniture would go with the cottage. The Heckers do not desire to keep [[?]] the preference being to take their meals at the hotel.

Yours truly,
CL Freer
