399 (342) Nov. 12/95. Mr. Frederick Keppel, 20 East 16th St., New York. Dear Mr. Keppel: I have your valued letter of 7th inst., also the copy of the “Illustrated American” of May 25 last, and thank you very much for both. It is a long time since I had the pleasure of receiving a letter from you. While in New York recently, I hope to have called to see you, but pressure of business prevented. Yes, the article on the “Genesis of Jim Whistler” was evidently written by a person well qualified. I am very pleased to have it and shall add it to my Whistler literature. Again thanking you, believeme [[believe me]], Yours very truly, Charles L. Freer
