Detroit, Nov. 30, 1895.

Mrs. Louise Wegwerth,
74 Cleveland St., City.

Madam:

I have carefully read the letter you handed me at my house recently and note the contents fully. I am sorry you have had such hard times while I was away and particularly that you considered it necessary to leave my employ. I regret that at present I cannot offer you work, but will say that if a vacancy occurs later, I shall be pleased to talk with you about it. I inclose herewith check for $25.00, which I beg you to accept as a little Thanksgiving offering.

Yours truly,
Charles L. Freer
