Dec. 2, 1893.

My dear Mr. Shugio:

I am called to New York to-night and shall be absent for ten or fifteen days. I advise you of this fact so that, if you have not yet left Chicago and contemplated stopping at Detroit in my absence, I might save you the inconvenience of stopping over here at that time. I hope however that your departure from Chicago will not occur until after the 15th of December, and that you will then make me the visit I have so long looked for.

Yours very truly,
Charles. L. Freer

Mr. H. Shugio,
Michigan Columbian Club, 65th St.,
Chicago, Ill.
