My dear Mr. Keppel:

Your esteemed letter of Nov. 22, also box of prints, were duly received. First let me thank you for your carefully written letter, also for the beautiful selection of miscellaneous prints. I have chosen from the lot the following:

Van Muyden.
No. 260, new plate,
Artist and Apes.

Whistler.
Adam and Eve.

Le Cros.
Triumph of Death, first plate.
Triumph of Death second plate.
Early Dawn.
The Canal Boat, first state.
The Woodcutters.
Tim Sh[[illegible]].

All the other prints will be restored to [[illegible]] by [[illegible]] today. Of the other Whistler sent I have excellent impressions. I have quite a large number of Filcken’s prints, and will [[illegible]] not [[particular?]]. [[illegible]] Heller's work I do not care to add [[?]] to my collection. The truth [[illegible]] I have [[illegible]] no more of Wilkin picture. [[illegible]] are very late [[illegible]] I [[illegible]].
