Dec. 23/95.

Dear Will:

Mr. Plumb telegraphed you yesterday in reference to having secured 600 box cars from the Penna. R.R. This, together with the recent order from the C. & N.W. will enable us to put fresh life into both departments. We have assigned the C. & N.W. cars to the Michigan Dep’t and the Penna. to the Peninsular Dep’t.

I inclose herein letter received to-day from Mr. Seargeant for your information. Nothing here especially new beyond a general break in prices of material.

Trusting that Mrs. McMillan continues to endure bravely her inconveniences and that time hangs not too heavy on your hands, I remain,

Very sincerely your friend,
Charles L. Freer

Mr. W.C. McMillan,
Holland House, New York.
