Dec. 18, 1893.

Dear Church:

On my return home this morning I find two dozen proofs from Scribner’s. They seem to me very good. I send them all to you by express to-day. Please retain such as you wish and sign and return the balance to me. Of course, in asking you to sign these, I do it with the supposition that you will decline unless you consider them perfectly worthy impressions.

Hastily yours,
C.L. Freer
