May 13/96.

Dear Mansfield:

I have your letter of 8th inst., also the marked copy of the Greller Club catalogue, for which I am greatly obliged. My prints are at home safe and sound. At your convenience I will be greatly pleased to receive copy of your address delivered at the Club on Ladies’ Day.

I am looking forward with much pleasure to the coming of yourself and Mrs. Mansfield on the 23rd inst. I shall arrange so as to surely be here Saturday to Monday, the 23rd to 25th both inclusive, and trust that nothing will prevent the long expected visit of yourself and Mrs. Mansfield. May is usually a pleasant month in Detroit but so far this year has been unusually so, and I want you to see my little garden before all the blossoms fall.

Yours faithfully,
Charles L Freer

Mr. Howard Mansfield,
35 Wall St., New York.
